The Druk Padma Karpo School, also known as ‘Rancho’s School’ 3 Idiots gets CBSE affiliation: Implications

National Recognition and Standardisation: CBSE is a national board of education in India. Affiliation means the school now adheres to a nationally recognized curriculum, standards, and evaluation system. This brings the school into the mainstream of Indian education.

Wider Opportunities for Students: Students studying under the CBSE system have greater access to competitive exams (like JEE, NEET) and higher education institutions across India. This affiliation opens up more academic and career pathways for the school’s students.

Improved Quality of Education: CBSE is known for its structured curriculum, teacher training programs, and focus on holistic development. The school’s shift to CBSE suggests an upgrade in the quality of education.

Increased Prestige and Attractiveness: CBSE affiliation often enhances the reputation and prestige of a school. It could attract more students and qualified teachers.

Alignment with National Education Policy (NEP): The CBSE curriculum is increasingly aligned with the goals of the National Education Policy (NEP), which emphasizes a shift towards competency-based learning, flexibility, and a multidisciplinary approach.

Shift from Regional to National Focus: Previously affiliated with the Jammu and Kashmir State Board, the school’s academic focus was primarily regional. Now, it adopts a national perspective.
